Initial application: How do I apply?
Click on the Apply button in the job advertisement and create your personal application profile. Once you have completed your data, confirm your registration with the link sent to you by email (please check your spam folder). You will then receive an automatic confirmation of receipt.
Follow-on application: How can I apply again?
Click on the Apply button in the job advertisement and log on again with your personal login data under “Applicant login”. You can update your stored details where necessary. Once you have successfully submitted your application you will receive an automatic confirmation of receipt.
Can I submit a speculative application?
Can’t find any suitable vacancies in our job exchange? Go to “No suitable jobs found?” under the list of vacancies for your selected target group and submit your speculative application by clicking on “Apply speculatively now”.
Can I withdraw my application?
Yes, you can. Click on “Applicant login” to log in again with your personal login data and withdraw your application (“My applications”→ “Withdraw”).
Which documents should I enclose with my application?
You can upload your CV, covering letter and other relevant documents under “Attachments” – either as individual files or combined into one file. Any supplementary details can be added under “Additional information”.
What if I can’t upload my file attachments?
Please check the size (max. 10 MB) and format (docx, pdf, jpg) of your attachments. If you are still unable to upload all of your files, we will be happy to assist you (tel: +49 (0) 2773 924-3366). Alternatively, you can submit your application without attachments in the first instance, and upload them at a later date.
I’ve forgotten my login data, what can I do?
You can request new login data via “Applicant login”. Click on "Forgot password", and enter your email address or user name. Within a few minutes you will receive new login data via email and will be able to log onto the system again (please check your spam folder).
How can I view, change or add to my data?
Access your applicant profile and your personal data via the “Applicant login” button. You can retrospectively amend or supplement your data here (“My profile” → “My data”). Any changes to your profile are effective immediately and are applied to applications already submitted as well as applications in progress.
Can delete my applicant profile myself?
Yes, you can. Click on “Applicant login” to log in again with your personal access data and delete your applicant profile (“My profile”→ “Delete registration”). As the final step, you will receive confirmation via email.
Will my data be treated as confidential?
Yes, we attach great importance to data privacy. Full details can be found in our Data Privacy Statement during the registration process.
Can I be notified automatically of current vacancies?
If you have failed to find a suitable vacancy in our job market, you can easily set up one or more job alerts with just one click. This way, you are automatically notified by email when a job matching your search criteria is advertised.
How can I submit multiple applications?
If you are interested in more than one vacancy, you can quickly and easily apply for different jobs with your applicant profile. Simply create your user account once, and then use the documents stored there for each application. You can add to and amend your data retrospectively using your applicant login.
When can I expect a reply to my application?
Once you have submitted your data, you will automatically be sent a confirmation of receipt by email. We take the time to review every single application carefully and try to reply as quickly as possible. Should you have any questions, your point of contact will be happy to assist you.
How long does an apprenticeship last?
Training takes between 2 and 3.5 years, depending on the profession and qualification level.
When is the best time to apply?
The best time to apply is approximately one year before the course begins, i.e. in summer of the previous year with the relevant summer school report. We welcome applications at any time of the year. However, if your application reaches us too late, it’s possible that all the places for that year will have been taken.
Can I apply for multiple training courses?
Yes, you can apply for multiple courses or locations. As a general rule, however, you should already be thinking about the general direction you wish to follow (commercial, technical/industrial or IT).
What information should my application contain?
We will need a covering letter, a CV including information about relevant extracurricular activities, and copies of your last two or three school reports. Certificates and attestations for any previously completed internships and courses should also be included.
How can I prepare for an interview?
In the interview, we want to hear exactly why you chose this particular vocation and what you expect to get out of the training course. We recommend that you read up about our company beforehand.
As well as the content of your responses, we will also be observing your conduct during the interview. A certain amount of nervousness is perfectly normal. What we want to see is an interested and friendly attitude. You are encouraged to ask questions.
When does the course begin?
Training courses usually begin between early August and early September. The precise start dates are shown in the job advertisements for each location.
What are my chances of being taken on permanently after the course?
Experience has shown that you have a very good chance of being taken on. Unfortunately we cannot give any guarantees about future hiring when you start your training. However, junior employees who successfully complete their training and demonstrate commitment have a good chance of being hired by the company.
What professional development opportunities are available for employees?
The learning process does not end when you have successfully completed your vocational training. We firmly believe that investing in our workforce pays dividends. Our employees have continuous access to targeted CPD measures to meet their individual needs and the requirements of their particular work environment.
How long does the dual study program take?
The dual study program in collaboration with THM (StudiumPlus) takes 3.5 years (seven semesters).
The dual study program in collaboration with DHBW Cooperative University (StudiumPlus) takes 3 years (six semesters).
When is the best time to apply?

Can I apply for multiple degree courses?
You can apply for multiple places at companies within the Friedhelm Loh Group. As a general rule, however, you should already be thinking about your preferred career direction.
What information should my application contain?
We will need a covering letter, a CV including information about relevant extracurricular activities, and copies of your last two school reports and/or your school leaving certificate (where available). You are very welcome to include other relevant certificates such as language courses, mediator training or IT seminars.
How can I prepare for an interview?
In the interview (whether in person or online), we want to hear exactly why you chose this particular study program. Why have you opted for a cooperative degree, and what challenges do you expect to face? We recommend that you read up on our company in advance.
As well as the content of your responses, we will also be observing your conduct during the interview. A certain amount of nervousness is perfectly normal. What we want to see is an interested and friendly attitude. You are encouraged to ask questions.
What happens after the interview (online or in person)?
You will have already completed an aptitude test beforehand. If you pass the test, you will be invited to an online intervew. We will then decide whether or not to offer you a place on a degree program with the Friedhelm Loh Group.
When does the dual study program start?
The regular start date is 1 July. However, if the summer holidays in Hesse, Germany do not begin until late July, our onboarding program will begin in mid-July.
What are my chances of being taken on permanently after my degree? We are keen to ensure the long-term loyalty of our junior employees, and indeed all employees at the Friedhelm Loh Group.
What opportunities for continuing professional development are available after hiring?
After graduating with a dual study Bachelor’s degree, provided your grades are good, you may be eligible for a dual study or part-time Master’s degree. Additionally, the Loh Academy offers an excellent range of CPD courses.
For which study programs are internships and theses available?
Students from a wide range of disciplines, including economics, engineering and informatics, plus many others, can choose from various placement and thesis opportunities in one of our corporate departments.
Am I still eligible for an internship or a student job even though I have already graduated?
Our internships are only aimed at school students with a valid school report and enrolled university students, except for those on a gap year. The latter are likewise eligible to apply for internships to acquire further practical experience. Student jobs are only available to students who are currently enrolled at a college or university or in the period leading up to graduation or receipt of their final grades.
If you have already completed your academic education, you can either join a trainee program or apply directly to work at a Friedhelm Loh Group company. When you join us, we offer various programmes designed to promote your personal and professional development.
How long does an internship usually last?
Internships generally last 3-6 months. The more time you devote to your internship, the more intensively and deeply you can get involved in the department and its projects.
How long does a thesis last?
The amount of time you work for us while writing your thesis will depend on a range of factors. We will happily talk this through with you at a face-to-face meeting. We generally recommend allowing for a longer period so that you have plenty of leeway before or after the thesis.
What format will the interview take and how can I prepare for it?
Student interviews usually take around one hour and may take the form of a face-to-face interview or a telephone/video interview, depending on the circumstances. Interviews usually include the responsible HR officer and the relevant department who will want to find out more about your personality, skills and qualifications. You will of course be given the opportunity to ask questions and get to know us as employers.
Can I choose the department/location for my holiday job?
Most of our holiday jobs are at our production plants and warehouses. The locations are Rittershausen, Haiger, Herborn, Hof and Heiligenroth.
I've already graduated. Am I still eligible for an internship or student job?
Our internships are only intended for school students with a valid school report and enrolled college/university students, except those on a gap year. The latter are likewise eligible to apply for internships to acquire further practical experience. Student jobs are only available to students who are currently enrolled at a college or university or in the period leading up to graduation or receipt of their final grades.

During which periods are holiday jobs available?
Most holiday jobs are between July and October. There may be occasional demand during the period from February to May. The minimum duration is 4 weeks.
How long can I work in a student job?
Only enrolled students may work for us in student jobs, up until the date when they receive their final grades. There are no limits on the duration of employment itself. Some of our students spend several semesters working for us.
How many hours a week can I work in a student job?
The exact number of hours per week is individually and flexibly defined by arrangement with the relevant department.
How and when should I apply?
You are welcome to apply online in response to a specific job advertisement or via the speculative application channel. You should apply as early as possible ahead of the preferred start date.
Which documents should I enclose with my application?
Depending on your current education situation, please either include a valid school certificate, confirmation of enrolment from the university or your student ID.
