As Trade Compliance Manager at EPLAN in Monheim am Rhein, you will ensure that all international business activities comply with applicable foreign trade and export control regulations. In this key role, you will design legally compliant processes, minimize risks in global trade, and help EPLAN operate efficiently and responsibly worldwide.
Tasks
- Operational responsibility for the effective implementation and appropriate further development of an internal export control system
- Close coordination and collaboration with the export control officer and the international export control coordinators
- Ensuring and maintaining all relevant master data related to export control
- Implementation and monitoring of compliance measures and internal audits
- Review and processing of export control-related transactions, taking into account German, European, and U.S. export control laws
- Contribution to the strategic safeguarding of our core markets (particularly the EU, the U.S., and China)
- Communicating with relevant authorities, suppliers, and customers
- Providing technical advice to employees on matters related to foreign trade law
- Conducting training sessions on relevant topics in the field of export control
Profile
- Completed vocational training in business or a degree in business administration
- Initial professional experience in the field of export control (EU and U.S. law), ideally at an internationally operating company
- Strong written and verbal proficiency in German and English
- Experience with MS Office programs; knowledge of IT-based export control systems is a plus
- Structured and process-oriented approach to thinking and working
- Team player with strong consulting skills, initiative, and excellent communication skills at all levels
