Tasks
- You plan the manufacturing of plastic parts based on order data and technical drawings
- You apply your knowledge about the properties of different materials to select suitable raw materials for the planned production
- Setting up the injection moulding machines and machine maintenance and repairs are further elements of your task portfolio, alongside quality control and assurance and any reworking which may be necessary
- You learn to use a variety of measuring and testing methods
Job profile
- Good basic secondary school results ("Hauptschulabschluss") or intermediate school-leaving certificate ("mittlere Reife")
- Interest in the natural sciences, especially chemistry
- German language skills (B2 level)
- Good technical understanding and manual craft skills
- Exact, meticulous and reliable approach to work
- Team-minded and flexible

The Junior Competence Center is an important hub in the day-to-day lives of our apprentices and students. In year two of the program, our trainees’ project work traditionally kicks off with the Gnadenthal workshop series. In 2022, the workshops took place in person with speakers including Sergiy Lakhno, Managing Director Rittal Ukraine, who spoke about his personal experience of handling major crises. “It was so thought-provoking,” says Arthur Hetzel, Rittal mechatronics apprentice. “It made me re-evaluate my own problems in a different light.”
