Hybrid (On Site / Home Office)

Responsible for master data governance, you will play a key role in supporting the design and implementation of our global master data management and governance organization, as well as supporting current and future projects in the area of master data. Join our Transformation/Processes – Master Data Management team at Rittal headquarters.

Tasks

  • Define, develop, and communicate global standards and guidelines for master data quality and data governance
  • Ensure compliance (e.g., GDPR, ISO 8000) and provide support during audits
  • Establish and align lifecycle and security policies for master data (storage, archiving, access) on a global level
  • Collect and harmonize new requirements and changes for master data objects, acting as an interface between IT, process teams, and business units
  • Ensure documentation and transparency of processes, standards, and metadata management
  • Build networks and communities, support global projects, and provide 3rd-level support for key users
  • Conduct training and awareness sessions on master data governance and data compliance
  • Drive continuous improvement and optimization of master data management in collaboration with regional/local Master Data Stewards

Job profile

  • Completed degree in (technical) economics, e.g., business informatics, industrial engineering, or business administration, or comparable practical experience in a related field
  • Experience in master data roles (master data owner/steward) or in the area of data governance
  • Solid knowledge of data management, including lifecycle, quality, security, and data protection
  • SAP expertise (ideally R/3 and S/4 HANA) and very good MS Office skills
  • Very good German and English skills
  • Strong affinity for data and understanding of business processes and data flows across multiple systems
  • Project and analysis experience, combined with conceptual skills and interdisciplinary thinking
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders, including the ability to convey governance concepts
