Tasks
- Design of the data architecture: Defining and further developing the enterprise-wide data architecture in line with the data strategy, with a focus on consistent, semantically sound data models based on key business objects from sales, logistics, production, and finance.
- Domain-oriented data modeling: Functional and technical structuring of the data landscape—ranging from the leading SAP ERP system through adjacent SAP and non-SAP system platforms (CRM, WMS, MES, etc.) to target analytical architectures (including SAP Business Data Cloud).
- Business-IT Translation: Translating business requirements from the business domains into sustainable, future-proof data and target architectures in close coordination with the IT teams for Data Engineering, Data Analysis, and Data Stewardship.
- Technology and Methodology Assessment: Evaluating new technologies and approaches (e.g., DataOps, API-oriented architectures, cloud platforms) in the context of structured and unstructured data (e.g., Big Data, IoT, AI).
- Stakeholder Management: Consulting and coordinating with business and IT stakeholders, as well as cross-functional coordination of architectural requirements within IT.
Profile
- A degree in computer science, business informatics, data science, or a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience
- Several years of professional experience in conceptual data architecture and modeling, ideally in the context of complex, SAP-based enterprise landscapes
- Extensive experience in conceptual, logical, and semantic data modeling, as well as in the development and harmonization of SAP ERP data models with data models from adjacent SAP and non-SAP system platforms (CRM, WMS, MES, etc.)
- Experience in structuring and documenting business and technical architectures, as well as proficiency in UML and BPMN
- Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work, with the ability to comprehensively understand complex data landscapes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with technical and business stakeholders
- Excellent German and English language skills for working in an international environment
- Openness to hybrid work in cross-functional, international teams
